My practice

After starting photography in 2017, I bought my first DSLR camera in 2018. Since then, I photograph all kinds of things as opportunities arise. I try to improve both in the shooting process and in the editing step with Lightroom.

I shoot mostly landscapes and cityscapes, but I occasionnally try product, wildlife or portrait photography.

My technique

In search of beautiful compositions, lightings and colors, I tend to wait for the right conditions before taking the camera out of the bag, thus focusing on quality over quantity.

I always edit my photos, something slightly, sometimes more drastically. For me it is a necessary step to get the best of each shot, and I like it as least as much as the shooting process, because digital processing gives unlimited creative freedom!

During the editing process, I try to reach a balance between colors, lights and shadows. Even if I sometimes allow myself to (slightly) distort the reality, I think the best edits are the ones you can't notice!

My pictures

The pictures you see on this website are under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. You can do whatever you want with them, except for commercial purposes, under the condition that you give credit: at least with my name, and if possible a link to this website, or my Instagram handle (@juliensulpisphoto).

Note that the pictures you see have a limited resolution and are highly compressed, in order to optimize their loading time and to protect the original pictures. If you have a good reason to want some of them in better quality, you can contact me.

My website

I designed and developed this website with the same attention to detail that I have for my pictures. I also paid attention to the contrasts, colors and layout, in order to make your visit as pleasant as possible.
